Cary
Cary is a thriving community in the heart of the Triangle located between Raleigh and the renowned Research Triangle Park, known as RTP. The Triangle area has repeatedly ranked among the top regions in the country to live or work, find a home, start a business, or raise a family. Cary is home to SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, and one of the largest employers in the state. Cary has one of the highest median household incomes in the state as well.
Being no further than 20 minutes from major universities such as Duke in Durham, NC State in Raleigh, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, it's not surprising that Cary has one of the highest concentrations of PhDs in the country.
Because of all of the transplants to the area, the town is affectionately known as the acronym CARY: "Containment Area for Relocated Yankees."
Cary is also home to the USA Baseball National Training Complex, the summer home of the North Carolina Symphony, the Carolina RaillHawks professional soccer team, Sk8-Cary skate park, Wake MedSoccer Park, Cary Tennis Park, the Cary Arts Center, the Koka Booth Amphitheatre, and over 25 parks including the Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve, plus a multitude of nine-and eighteen-hole golf courses.
